Gainesville Rabbit Rescue depends solely on our volunteers and foster families. Without these amazing individuals GRR simply would not exist. Each week volunteers spend countless hours doing all they can to help the bunnies that depend upon them for survival. Here are a few tasks we are looking for volunteers to help with....
Fostering: As GRR is not confined to a single, shelter setting foster families are needed to provide bunnies with a loving home until the time they are permanently adopted. Click here for more information on fostering procedures.
Green Runs: Publix Supermarket donates a portion of their unused greens to GRR. We are always in need of people who can pick up and deliver these green to the home they are most needed.
Education & Adoption Booths: Every Sunday GRR volunteers and a few needy bunnies set up a booth at PetsMart and Petco. They hand out fliers, educate the public on house-rabbits, and invite others to open their homes and hearts to a homeless bunny.
Other: Grooming, cage & habitat cleaning, rabbit socialization, adoption/fostering screenings, literature assembling, advanced computer work, transportation.
And by all means, if you have a talent that would benefit the rescue in other ways feel free to share!
