You do not have to be a rabbit expert to foster. GRR will provide support and answer all questions to new foster person(s).
You may not need a cage and if you do, one can be provided.
Your bunny will not need your attention 24/7. An hour a day of gentle petting, combined with another hour of free play and exercise can be a great treat for a rabbit who spent the first years of his life crowded in a small cage with no human contact.
You can choose the bunny you will foster.
You must be willing to provide your rabbit with a home until s/he is adopted.
In most (if not all) cases rabbits get along with household pets; i.e., cats, well-trained dogs.
You may foster as many bunnies as you wish.
Though we prefer indoor homes, GRR may make allowances for porch or deck housing.
You must be approved to foster.
You must make certain your rabbit receives medical care when necessary. GRR can cover the cost.
If you believe you can help provide a rabbit with compassion and a safe place to live, please email us for a fostering application.
